I am Marlene Pinto, founder of Joyful Soul life coaching. I am certified as a Professional Life Coach through the Foundation for Holistic Life Coaching, founded by Alan Cohen.

I started Joyful Soul because I am passionate about being of service to others. I truly believe that this is my purpose. However, coming to understand this did not happen overnight. We all have a specific purpose to fulfill in our lives and over time it starts to unfold. This is when you get that gentle, or not so gentle nudge to take a different turn on this path we call life.

I spent many (20 +) years working in the financial industry. However, towards the end of that tenure I started to crave more, much more. The daily tasks I performed no longer had any meaning to me. I didn’t feel like I was helping anyone, I was just a part of the big corporate machine. I was constantly asking myself, what’s the point of all this? It just was not working for me anymore.  This career afforded me a great life thus far, but deep down I was willing to give it up in my search for something that gave be more meaning, fulfillment, happiness. Sound familiar?

The problem was, I had no idea where that was or what that looked like. As I look back now, I realize that I was gradually being guided towards the solution. I was suddenly drawn to all things spiritual. Books, podcasts, you name it. I couldn’t get enough. I just wanted to figure out why I was feeling this way, what my purpose was and how I could come out happier on the other side.

Going into work every day gave me a sinking feeling, I was frustrated. This nagging feeling that there was more out there was never ending. I did not want to live with regrets and what-ifs. I had to take action. I started to think about the things I loved to do and life coaching kept coming to mind. It was not something I had ever explored before it was something that came naturally to me and I enjoyed helping friends and family dig deep and find solutions that they were looking for. Through tons of research I came across a spiritually based life coaching program and I just knew this was it! It’s hard to describe the feeling but when you know, you just know…

Fast forward to today. I’m a certified life coach and angel card reader. I love what I do. Gone are the feelings of frustration and lack of fulfillment. It can be scary.

• I’m not sure if I have a passion.
• What will everyone say?
• I’ve been doing something else for so long, I can’t change now.
• Is life supposed to be fun instead of work, work, work?
• Maybe I’ll just continue what I’m doing, it’s easier.

These were some of the thoughts that were going through my mind. Feelings of doubt. It’s normal, but you don’t have to give in to these thoughts. It was not an easy road but I picked up many valuable tools along the way that I’d love to share with you to help you through this process. You’ll be amazed at what can happen if you just follow your intuition (just one of the tools), where it will lead you.
